Bow Hunting Course

 

International Bowhunter Education Program

 

An IBEP Course will be held on May 29th at Lakehead Archers – 282 Vibert Road starting at 8am.

 

This is a great course for both the new and experienced bow hunter alike, the course will include;

-         How bow hunting differs from gun hunting

-         Bow hunter responsibilities & Ethics (safe & responsible bow hunting)

-         Know your Bow and Arrow (bows, crossbows, arrows, broad heads, accessories, etc.)

-         Anatomy and shot placement (Moose, Deer, Bear, Elk, Turkey)

-         Methods of bow hunting

-         Tree stand safety, set-up - field component

-         Big game recovery & blood trailing – field component

-         Exam (may be taken either written or orally)

 

Course cost - $65 this includes all course materials.  Lunch will cost $5.00 and will be Pulled pork. 

 

Successful candidates will receive their International bow hunting Education Program certification.  This certification is a pre-requisite to bow hunting in some States and Provinces and there are presently recommendations for the program to become mandatory in Ontario.
